Brett Yancey
Brett is from Hoover, Alabama. He attended Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2006. After college, Brett moved back to Birmingham and started a career at UAB as a research assistant within the department of surgery. His research focused primarily on islet cell transplantation. Brett later attended UAB’s School of Nursing and went on to work as a RN on the surgical intensive care unit. In addition, Brett pursued additional certification as a Registered Nurse First Assistant and trained with the orthopedics department. Brett ultimately received his MSN from UAB and is board certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with Orthopedic speciality.
Brett currently lives in the Birmingham area with his wife Bailey, daughter Parker, and their two dogs. He enjoys playing golf during his free time and loves yearly ski trips out west. He has worked with Dr. Marshall since 2016 and is happy to be part of a team that provides comprehensive care for all your orthopedic and sports medicine problems.
Marley Sport
Marley was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. She attended Auburn University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Sports Communications. She continued her education and earned her Master Degree in Exercise Physiology. While in graduate school, she worked as a research assistant in Auburn’s School of Kinesiology Exercise Adherence and Motivation Lab. Before moving to Birmingham, Alabama, she worked in the Cardiac Rehabilitation department at East Alabama Medical Center providing patient care and lifestyle education to those on the road to recovery.
Marley began working with Dr. Marshall in the Spring of 2019 as his clinic scheduler, surgical assistant, and marketing director. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, hunting and fishing, Auburn sports, and spending time with friends and family. She is happy to be working with a team that has a patient-first mentality and offers exceptional care for all orthopedic issues.
